My friends and I always debate who is the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) of basketball. There is a strong consensus that there are only 2 possible choices. But, when it comes down to which choice is correct, there is always heated debate and disagreement. I strongly believe that Lebron James is easily and by far the best player to ever touch a basketball; however, my close friend and roommate, Leo, just as strongly believes that Michael Jordan is the GOAT. So, let me explain my reasoning behind why Lebron is clearly the GOAT.

Lebron is now the all time leading scorer in the history of basketball with over 40,000 points. Not only is he #1 in scoring he is among the top 10 in every other category: rebounds, assists, steals, 3 pointers, games played. In addition to his astonishing stats, he also has 4 regular season MVPs, 4 championship wins, and 4 finals MVPs. His basketball IQ and feel for the game is also rated the highest by his teammates, opponents, and coaches. Off the court, he known to be an incredible teammate, leader, role model, and person. 

Lebron has the edge against Jordan in almost every statistical category; but, those in favor of MJ use his championships as their main argument. Lebron has gone to the finals 10 times in his career and has won 4. Jordan went to the finals 6 times and won 6 times. Since Jordan has more rings and a perfect record in the finals, it is clear to his fans that he is the GOAT. Jordan supporters often discredit Lebron for losing 6 times in the finals. However, I believe that this is exactly why he IS the best. Winning the finals is an incredible feat - there is no denying that. However, going to the finals is also incredibly difficult. There are 30 teams in the NBA, and only 2 of the make it to the finals. There were many seasons where Jordan didn't make it past the first round of the playoffs. However, Lebron has lead a mediocre team to the finals all by himself on multiple occasions which speaks volumes about his greatness. Therefore, I believe that Lebron is clearly the GOAT of basketball.

 My random post for today is about why Korea is an amazing travel destination. I recently went last winter break so I have a fresh recollection and experience in the country. Also, I am very excited to be going again this summer break with my family. What stuck out to me the most about Korea was the cost of living.
